ok thanks, thought so, and i brought the 1.8gb 260 gtx.
its not a bad card, but im slightly dissapointed with its performance on crysis… it lags a lot on high settings and sometimes even on medium even though i have 3.07ghz i7 950 and 8gb of ram…

  2. Usul573 says:

    Really?

The GTX 260 should be able to do medium settings at 1920×1200 in Crysis at about 42 FPS, and probably still playable at high.

i know… thats why im surprised… do you know if there is anything i can do to increase gaming performance, i mean, all i do is put the CD and launch the game, is there a way to make my computer work at a higher performance for games? or can i make the graphics card better from the nvidia control panel? thanks.

  4. Usul573 says:

The game, graphics card and everything else are all fully updated right?

Are you using all high settings?

With Crysis I experimented with all the settings to see which ones affect FPS more than quality.

    What resolution also?

Not using AF or AA right?

Also good to have as little running in the background as possible.

Not overheating or anything right? And have a good power supply?

  5. hellomoto170 says:

yeah everythings fully updated, im using all high settings, with AA off, not sure about AF i might need to check that…

nothing else running in the backrground, no overheating and yeah a good power supply. im on 2048X1152 resolution so ille lower that and make sure AF is off and try again…

    but thanks for everything :)

    No prob.

Should be a good card for just about anything.

That one has 216 cores, right?

Hard to believe it was $400 back in the day, now it’s $180 and it’s better than ever.

  7. hellomoto170 says:

i honestly dont know how many cores it has… but all i know is it is a 1.8GB 260 GTX.
