Specs: The Radeon HD 6970 is a very powerful, state of the art, graphics card. The engine clock speed is 880MHz, contains 2 GB of GDDR5 memory, 176 GB/s memory bandwidth, and a PCI Express 2.1 x16 bus interface. The video card also doesn’t take up that much power. The minimum requirement for this graphics card is only 550 watts. We would recommend a higher power supply if possible, around 750W.

Overall Performance: The Radeon HD 6970 is an amazing graphics card. Install this video card on your computer system and you will have stunning graphics that will blow you away. The high speed memory and bandwidth allow you to power through even the most newest games. Although not quite as fast as the GeForce 570 or 580 product line, this video card is a good step up when upgrading your system. The price is also not bad. Much cheaper than the GeForce 500 line, the Radeon HD 6970 sells around $370 which is not a bad price at all for the performance.

Other notes: The Radeon HD 6970 is a fairly big graphics card. Make sure you’re computer has plenty of space for the card to fit. Also it tends to heat up, so make sure you have a good cooling system in place as well.

Overall: In conclusion, the Radeon HD 6970 is great choice for a gaming graphics card. We would definitely recommend this card to a gaming enthusiast looking for great graphics at a budget of 350 to 400 dollars. Easy to install if you have extra space in your desktop, it’s a great gaming graphics card.

Radeon 5570 OC Crysis Benchmark

Decided to do a Crysis graphics benchmark with the Sapphire ATi Radeon HD 5570 1 GB DDR3 with normal clocks as well as with an overclock. The card OCs quite well, as I’ve tested it from it’s stock 650 MHz core and 900 MHz memory up to 825 MHz core and 1125 MHz memory. Some games respond better than others, and this of course is with Crysis using the standard GPU benchmark. I used MSI’s Afterburner to OC the card. Complete System Specs: CPU – AMD Athlon II x4 630 @ 2.8 GHz – AM3 Socket, 95W TDP, 45 nm GPU – Sapphire ATi Radeon 5570 1 GB DDR3 low profile – Stock clocks (650 MHz Core, 900 MHz Memory), DX11 capable, 128 bit memory interface, 400 Stream Processors RAM – 2 x 1 GB G.Skill DDR3-1333 MOBO – MSI 785GM-E51 AM3 – Mini ATX, Integrated Radeon 4200, 192 KHz Realtek Audio HDD – Seagate 320 GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0 Gb/s OS(s) – Windows 7 32 bit + Windows XP 32 bit CASE – Antec Minuet Low profile with included 350 Watt Power Supply Unit MONITOR – HP 20″ 1600 x 900 with integrated speakers
